Roofed and walled permanent structures.

Description

Former shopping arcade. Of brick with off-white terracotta cladding, eclectic Renaissance style. Of four storeys and three bays, symmetrical, with a centre articulated by pilasters which rise through the full height of the building framing the (altered) entrance and upper Diocletian window, continuing to terminate with ball finials on each side of a central pediment. The pediment tympanum has the words FELDMAN’S / ARCADE and it is flanked by open arcaded balustrading. The terracotta incorporates wreaths and floral drops. Market Street elevation almost identical, without lettering in the tympanum. Ground-floor interior appears to have been greatly altered, upper floors not inspected.
