Statement of Significance

Age

Remnant from 18th century. There is a date stone above the door engraved: “R TE 1740 *”

Group Value

Isolated in terms of buildings of similar character, although no. 121 may be of similar era. Rest of surrounding development is later. Query that no. 121 next door was a former ‘Paddyshant’ to the farmhouse – previously attached to a barn (demolished to make way for Springfield Close in 1990s).
