Late nineteenth or early twentieth century Rothschild Estate building.
Two storey red brick building. Principal range faces onto Queen Street with gable facing onto High Street. Rear range rectangular in plan form extends from the rear elevation of the property and faces onto High Street. Gabled roofs, laid in slate with decorative red tiled ridge tiles. Brick end stacks to main and rear range. Eyebrow dormers break eaves line on main and rear ranges. Main elevation has regular elevation with central door contained beneath open gabled porch. Door flanked to either side by three light casements. Directly above these ground floor windows are identical three light casements to first floor. Rothschild carved motif contained within external chimney stack on gable elevation of main range facing onto High Street. Entrance from High Street within rear range flanked to left (facing) by four light casement with three light casement above. Small three light casement contained beneath eaves directly above doorway. This building has been identified as being of local note because of its prominent position at the junction of High Street and Queen Street. In addition it forms part of a group of Rothschild estate buildings and retains the majority of its original external architectural features. Architect – William Taylor.
