Welcome to the West Yorkshire Local Heritage List

Home to the local heritage lists of all five West Yorkshire district and metropolitan council areas.

Use this site to view the existing local heritage lists and to nominate heritage assets that are important to you and your local community.

Please be aware that the West Yorkshire Local Heritage List is an ongoing work-in-progress and is not a comprehensive list of all Non-Designated Heritage Assets in the county. 

View the local lists
View the local heritage lists using the Map and List pages. You can filter by individual council area on the List page.
How to nominate
To make a nomination you need to register as a user on the site using the Register option on the top right corner of this page. If you're already registered make sure you are logged in.
You can then nominate a heritage asset through the Map page by selecting 'Create asset' or the List page by selecting 'Add a new asset' and working through the questions.
Before you nominate you may want to read the guidance on the Guidance pages. This includes the selection criteria that all nominations will be assessed against.

Consultation
When Councils are consulting on proposed sites to be added to their Local Heritage List you will find details of the proposed sites and how to have your say here.
There are currently no consultations taking place.
