Description
A two-storey terrace dating the last quarter of the 19th century. The buildings are constructed from red stock brick and hand-made Cheshire brick; these bricks are laid using a combination of Flemish and a header brick bound. The windows are elongated in a shape and are vertical sliding sash windows which have stone sills and brick headers. The building’s roof is pitched roofs cladded blue slate tiles; all properties have chimneys, finals and gablets. Other features of these properties include a part glazed, part timbered semi-circular doorway with a fanlight, a traditional shop front, a string-course and additionally accommodation in the roof. The buildings are in a regular plan form and are of an asymmetrical composition.
Identified as a 'positive contributor' to the Old Market Place Conservation Area.
