Description

Hendra Wesleyan Methodist chapel (HER No. 138839). Probably early C20. Rendered walls; dry slate roof with crested and pierced clay ridge tiles. 3 segmental -arched window openings to each side wall; 2-light transomed windows. Flat-roofed porch at entrance end. Chapel is depicted on the 1907 OS Map (but not the 1876). This was Hendra's second Wesleyan chapel, built in 1904 (possibly on a pre-existing site). It is a simple one-cell rendered building with segmental arched windows and a flat roofed porch. Planning was granted in 2013 for conversion into a private residence and the chapel was sold in 2016. https://www.historyfiles.co.uk/ChurchesBritain/SouthWest/Cornwall_Restormel11.htm It is now converted to a dwelling.
