Description

A large detached house named as Ivy Cottage on the late 1800s Town Map and depicted within a walled plot, with a range of outbuildings to its west and an ornamental garden to the east, through which a driveway leads from a pillared entrance on Bodmin Road. The house survives within its walled plot; the entrance pillars and the outbuildings have gone. This house is located within an area of post medieval industry (eg blowing house, foundry, smithy and corn mill), with which the house and its outbuildings may have been associated. Identified by the St Austell THI survey as Possible Locally Significant Building depending on further research.
