Description

Historic Interest: Building depicted at this location on the 1841 Tithe map, with further detail on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 map of 1877, showing two semi-detached properties, labelled Gee Cottages. Architectural Interest: Today a large, detached property of brick construction, staggered front elevation with the single bayed SW portion of the building set back from the larger two-bayed portion. Flemish bond brickwork and Welsh slate roof. Original timber sash windows of former #21 (left side of image) with stone sills throughout. Aesthetic Value: The terrace retains a level of historic fabric and historic architectural detail which make a positive contribution to the surrounding area. Group Value: Contemporary with 13-19 Buck Lane, forming a consistent historic presence in the street-scene
