Description

Attractive historic asset in an otherwise late 20th-century street, retained during the construction of the Hounds Hill Shopping Centre. Former Liberal Club, now shops to ground floor with 20th-century fascias, canopy and glazing. Rendered and painted stone, with Welsh slate roof. uPVC windows to second floor; timber casements to first floor. Three storeys, four bays wide, with varied roofline of gables and hipped roofs. Lead ogee roof to the gable of the second bay; datestone to fourth bay gable. Moulded string courses and stone panel with ‘LIBERAL / CLUB’. Full-height canted bay windows with rectangular windows to first floor; semi-circular headed windows to second floor. Ground floor entrance in west bay. Altered to ground floor.
