Architectural and Artistic Interest

Building set at an angle to High Street along the splayed entrance to the narrow Green Lane. Partially hidden behind vegetation. Two storeys with lower and recessed ranges to the south forming 29a, High Street. The brick buildings sit beneath a steeply pitched gabled roof laid in slate. Mixture of brick end stacks and chimneys contained within the roof plane which along with the variations in rooflines create an attractive roofscape. The buildings are brick fronted with painted gables. Fenestration patterns remain largely unaltered. Modern wooden garage doors to the front elevation is hidden by vegetation. The buildings are prominent in views along High Street from the north-east and in terms of its, scale, massing and proportions, compliments its historic neighbours.
