Four post-medieval fishponds north of Fulmer Place Dimensions - Length 0580 m Width 0040 Plan Form - CURVILINEAR STRING OF 4 LARGE FISHPONDS, WHICH ACCORDING TO LOCAL INFO WERE BUILT BY 'THE MONKS'. NO EVIDENCE FOR MONASTIC ORIGIN: ALMOST CERTAINLY CONNECTED WITH MANOR HOUSE(CASS 01539). FISHPOND AT TQ 0017 8615 DESTROYED BY M40 (B1-2) Assessed by Monuments Protection Programme and scored as follows: Group Value (Clustering) - low Group Value (Association) - low Archaeological Interest (Survival) - high Archaeological Interest (Documentation) – high Archaeological Interest (Potential) - medium Archaeological Interest (Diversity) – medium Historic Interest - low Landmark Status – medium Architectural and Artistic - N/A
