Description
Landmark clock to mark the passage into the 3rd millenium CE.
It stands on the site of an old brewery (demolished) next to Hale Station and joins a 1908 memorial fountain.
There are bedding plants and shrubs surrounding it supplied by volunteers from Hale Civic socity and it will be a
principal feature in the proposed Hale Village Plan.

It is elegant and visually striking. The structure is brick built but not ponderous. The design is such that although modern it is not so "modern" that it will look outdated in a few years time. The bricks have been chosen to blend in with the surrounding buildings such as Midland Terrace and the listed buildings of Hale Station.Group Value
