Description

Large shop occupying frontages on Bond Street and Waterloo Road. Two-storey 7-bay frontage to Bond Street and 8-bay to Waterloo Road. Faced in Flemish bond red brick, with Welsh slate half-hipped roofs with ceramic ridge cresting. The regular elevations have well-preserved shop fronts with black marble plinths and curved glass to recessed doorways. Deep fascia over earlier cornice. First floor has paired windows in stone reveals with hopper glazed ventilation and original joinery; glazing is obscured. Decorative brick eaves cornice to roof. The integral warehouse on the west side was added in the inter-war period; this has a parapet to the Waterloo Road frontage and plain windows to Bath Street.
