Green Lane Farm lies on the northern edge of the Dunham estate 2.5km to the north of Dunham Town. The complex lies at roughly 17m AOD on gently sloping land facing northwards across the valley of the Sinderland Brook. The farmhouse is a substantial structure with 17th-century origins as a two-bay, two-storey timber-framed dwelling with an inglenook fireplace, but there are also a number of C18 and C19 additions. The main range has early C19 origins as a combined threshing and hay barn but, like the pigcote, bothy and hay barn, was extensively rebuilt during the period 1895 to 1917. There are also a number of late C20 farm structures.

Two-storey, U-plan range of c.1840, later rebuilt to 'Stamford' specifications in 1898. Built of brick in English garden wall bond with red machine brick dressings to the quoins, string course, windows and doors. Later single-storey addition to east gable with lean-to roof. Gable roof with graded slates, red ridge tiles, plain close verge. The timbers are king posts with braces. The windows are 2-light, 3-pane central-pivot top light opening casements under segmental brick arches with decorative ventilation bricks to the ground floor and 3-light, 6-pane to the first floor (as house). Chamfered stone sills. The doors are battened timber under segmental brick arches and horizontal sliding with cast-iron coasters. The floors are concrete in the shippon but are original flag stone elsewhere. The loft is timber floor carried on RJSs and reached by a ¬ turn enclosed stair. The southern wing, set at an oblique angle to the rest of the range, was originally a separate implement shed with granary over reached by an external brick stair with stone treads. Dog-kennel with semi-circular arched head over beneath stair.
