Description

Stone gateposts and wall at entrance to Woodlands Parkway. The road and area was developed by the Brooks Estate with large detached houses, now all demolished. The stone garden walls remain and some stone gateposts. It is presumed that as a private drive there were gates at the entrance from Stockport Road. Square section stone gateposts (top portion missing) with adjoining stone wall. The stone wall on the east side has carved in the top stone the name 'Benvarley' which was the house on that corner.
