LLB92 - Building has imposing roadside façade, constructed in fine red brick with decorative stone detailing around the windows, to the gables and round the door. End bays have a Dutch gable. The centre bay contains an arched decorative stone doorway of double width. Date stone over doorway ‘Union Offices 1898’. The building plan has changed little, original windows remain. Surrounding site as changed considerably.

Located close to the former Ormskirk Union Workhouse, now part of Ormskirk General Hospital.Historic Interest
The Union Offices were likely to have accommodated the administration functions of the Workhouse. A late 19th century photograph shows Workhouse staff outside the main entrance of the then new Union Offices.
