An Edwardian church, over a century old. Datestones 1905 and 1907Architectural and Artistic Interest
Red brick with stone dressings, perpendicular windows and tiled roof. Slanting buttresses. Unusual part dark wooden cladding. Built by 1907 C Ford Whitcombe and extended East and North porch in 1924 by G. H. Fellowes Prynne. Stained Glass by Kempe and Co. Cancel s undated by A. L Moore. Sanctuary N 1908 - By Comper, nave centre 1940 and EHistoric Interest
Built over 100 years ago in 1905 the stones embedded in the brick work relay the message that H.R.H. Princess Christian of Schleswig Holstein was present to lay the stone in 1907 and the Lord Bishop of Buckingham present to lay a further stone in 1924 following additional extensions to the church. There is a memorial in the church to remember those brave air force men who died in World War II when there plane came down in the adjacent Brockhurst Woods.Landmark Status
