Designed in collaboration with Amersham Town Council working with the Artist/blacksmith Nicholas Packham ‘life-size’ sculpture of 5 Red Kite birds installed on one of the main approach roundabouts to Amersham town centre and to be a long term memorial to James Phillips which enhances public space which was the subject most dear to his heart. James Philips was 27 years old when he died on 21st September 2014 running a half marathon in Reigate Surrey. James like his father was an architect. He attended middle school in the Chalfonts and then Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham. http://www.jamesphillipsfoundation.com/priestwoods-infant-school-1

Landmark Status

This sculpture forms a land mark on the approach to Amersham from Chalfont St Giles.
