Rarity

One of the few early 20th century large detached residential dwelling surrounded by considerable land and stabling for horses, in the Parish of Stoke Poges. Generally, externally painted white with clay tile roof.

Historic Interest

In the 1930s the owner was Fulwar C.A. Coventry OBE, an Old Wykehamist who was in charge of motor vehicle transport for Great Western Railway and a founder member of the Institute of Automobile Engineers. The famous BBC Sports presenter and commentator called, David Coleman lived in the house with his family in the late 20th century for many years. One of his daughters, Anne, who grew up at the house went on to become the British Ladies' show jumping champion.
