Earthworks of a possible Civil War battery, constructed to defend Ickford Bridge. Plan Form - D SHAPED REMAINS OF EARTHWORKS. IN REMOVING A PORTION OF THE EARTHWORKS A STONE FIREPLACE & CALCINED ANIMAL BONES FOUND (B1). SLIGHTLY RAISED PLATFORM WITH STRONG CURVED PERIMETER BANK AROUND W, S, E SIDES. NO OUTER DITCH. RESEMBLES CIVIL WAR EARTHWORK WITH SOLE PURPOSE OF GUARDING ICKFORD BRIDGE (B2).
