Medieval park pale earthworks recorded in field survey SURVEY OF PARK AREA REVEALS LENGTHS OF BANK & DITCH (PRESUMABLY PARK PALE) & OLD HEDGES. 1ST SECTION IS WELL DEFINED BANK WITH N DITCH FOLLOWING S LIMIT OF WIDDENTON WOOD (OLD PARISH BOUNDARY). IN PLACES, SMALLER S BANK. BANK & INTERNAL DITCH CARRIES ON ALONG PARISH BOUND. CONTINUED BY OLD HEDGE (B3).
