Description

Historical records of medieval settlement deserted in the sixteenth to seventeenth centuries, partly surviving as earthworks. EXCELLENT HISTORICAL DOCUMENTATION; A C16 MAP SHOWS VILLAGE CLUSTER HERE; DEPOPULATION REPORTED 1517, ALLEGEDLY OF 1504. IN 1608 THERE WERE 10 TENANTS (B4). EARTHWORKS VISIBLE ON APS - SEE COMMENTS (B6-7).
