Description

Row of 4 nineteenth century houses, one formerly a pub known as The Crown. Rose Cottage, Cheery Cottage, Mulberry Cottage and The Old Crown are part of the important grouping of buildings at the south end of the conservation area. Of knapped flint with blocked brick dressings, irregular chimneys and low pitched slate roofs. Some of these features are repeated in the surrounding buildings and create cohesion within the group. The Old Crown was once a pub but is now a private residence. Significant buildings within the Conservation Area of Wheeler End Common (B1).
