Roofed and walled permanent structures.

Description

Eighteenth century former lodge at entrance to Taplow House. 18th century former lodge to Taplow House. South Lodge is much closer to the mansion than Upper Lodge and is significant since it is directly opposite the junction with Mill Lane and serves to stop the view when entering the conservation area from Mill Lane. There is also an interesting roofscape with the fishscale tiles of South Lodge behind which can be seen the rather dramatic battlements and porte cochere of the mansion (B1). This is a significant building/building of note within the conservation area.
