Type

Building

Roofed and walled permanent structures.

Description

Building with steep roof pitch and irregular fenestration, which suggest that it has early origins. This simple building is prominently positioned at the front of its plot and is visually prominent within the streetscape. Despite later extensions to the rear, the simple form of the building, its steeply pitched roof (which may indicate that it was originally thatched), irregular fenestration pattern and strong solid to void ratio suggest that this building may have much early origins and therefore be of interest. The simple character of this building render it visually attractive and it forms part of a group of historic buildings found throughout the village which are small in scale and simple in form, outline and articulation. Local Heritage Asset in conservation area (1).
