Architectural and Artistic Interest

The importance of its architectural design, decoration or craftsmanship; including important examples of particular building types, materials and techniques. For example, vernacular types of buildings or a particular architectural style, which illustrates local or regional architectural history or design, use of quality local materials and workmanship that relates to the local character of the area or the work of a notable (known) local Architect, or heritage assets that are exemplary of a particular architectural philosophy, school or movement.

Buildings or assets which exhibit some degree of creative skill for example - including stone carving, plaques and memorials, gates and railings, door surrounds, finials, shopfronts and signage.
