Description
Public house constructed from sandstone ashlar to ground floor and hard red brick to upper storeys with elaborate stone dressings. Imposing three storey corner tower with mullioned and transomed windows to ground floor, mullioned windows to upper storeys and steeply pitched octagonal red tiled roof. Carved stone cornice to lower and upper floors. Four bays to elevations fronting Victory Road and Caunce Street articulated by stone pilasters between second and third storeys. Entrances in third bay on Caunce Street and second bay on Victory Road have stone porches with pediment and cartouche. Stone bay windows with parapet roof to ground floor on each elevation with mullioned windows above. Roof dormers with stone gables and balustraded parapet to the red tiled roof which has decorative red terracotta ridge cresting and substantial red brick chimney stacks to both main elevations. Replacement windows in original openings. Interior not inspected.
