Type

Building

Roofed and walled permanent structures.

Description

LLB10 - The original part of the building has a cranked plan form, reflecting its relationship to the road junction. The building is designed in the ‘Old English’ or ‘mock Tudor’ style with half timbering to principal gables, rough cast render (principally to the first floor elevations) and red brick to the ground floor. Roofs are pitched and tiled, with a number of the gables being jettied. There are a number of projecting bays, particularly on the eastern elevation, which adds further interest to the building. Strong architectural impact, interesting brick chimney stacks. Arts & Crafts mock Tudor half-timber appearance. Altered to the rear - extensions of different periods. Windows are UPVC replacements.
