Description: This is a late 19th century building of standard design for its type. It is clad in corrugated iron and survives in near original condition. The inscription states “Wesleyan Chapel erected 1823. Peace on earth, and below Enlarged 1962”. The building is now in residential use. Date: C19 Use: Residential (was ecclesiastical) Group value: NO Reason for inclusion: The building is an important remnant of the social history of the village and is a rare surviving example of its type, illustrating the simplicity of Wesleyan architecture in a rural setting.
