Asset Type

Although local heritage lists have long been developed successfully for buildings, all heritage asset types, including monuments, archaeological sites, places, areas, parks, gardens and designed landscapes may be considered for inclusion. Each of these types of heritage asset can bring distinctiveness to a local area or reflect the character or origins of a community. In South Yorkshire, we are lucky to have a varied range of asset types, all with their own fascinating histories and heritage, from Bronze Age barrows to modernist architecture and everything in between!
